Pristine Text offers textbook shipping starting at $4.99 for Extended Delivery, with free shipping on orders of $150 or more. Standard and Expedited Delivery use tiered per-book pricing so multi-book orders stay cost-effective. We ship to all 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and U.S. military APO/FPO addresses. Every order comes with a tracking number sent to your email as soon as it ships.

Our fastest textbook delivery option. Choose Expedited Delivery when the semester has already started or an assignment deadline is approaching.
Expedited Delivery availability depends on the items in your cart. If any item is ineligible, this option will not appear at checkout.
Delivery estimates are based on U.S. business days (Mon–Fri, excluding federal holidays). Transit time begins once your order ships, not when it is placed. Actual delivery may vary during high-volume periods such as semester starts.
Delivery Times
All delivery estimates shown at checkout are calculated from your order date and include processing time — they represent the full window from purchase to your door, not just transit time.
If your cart contains items from multiple fulfillment locations, the delivery window shown at checkout accounts for all shipments. You will receive a separate tracking email for each package.
Order Processing Time
All orders are processed within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays). Orders placed after 2 PM EST on Friday are typically processed the following Monday.
You will receive an order confirmation immediately after checkout and a separate shipping notification with your tracking number once your order has been packed and handed to the carrier.
Extended Delivery Items
Some items in our catalog are only available with Extended Delivery based on fulfillment logistics for that specific item. This will be clearly indicated:
- On the product listing page before you add to cart
- In your cart summary
- At checkout when selecting a shipping method
If your cart contains a mix of Extended Delivery–only items and unrestricted items, checkout will only offer methods compatible with every item in your order. Expedited Delivery appears only when all items are eligible for it.
Shipping Restrictions
We currently ship to addresses within the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and U.S. military APO/FPO addresses. We do not ship to international addresses. International students studying at U.S. universities can ship to their campus address.
Tracking Information
Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking email with a link to monitor delivery progress. Tracking may take up to 24 hours to activate after your shipping notification is sent. If you have not received a tracking email within 3 business days of your order, please contact us and we will investigate.

How long does textbook shipping take?
Extended Delivery takes 8–16 business days from your order date. Standard Delivery takes 5–10 business days. Expedited Delivery takes 3–6 business days. All estimates include 1–2 business days of processing before your package ships.
Do you offer free shipping on textbooks?
Yes — orders of $150 or more automatically qualify for free Extended or Standard Delivery. Expedited Delivery is free on orders of $200 or more. No code needed; the discount is applied at checkout. Stack your semester books into one order to take advantage of free shipping.
What is USPS Media Mail and how much does it cost?
USPS Media Mail is a federally designated carrier rate for books and educational materials. We use it internally to keep our Extended Delivery option as low as $4.99 — one of the most affordable textbook shipping costs available. You simply choose a delivery method at checkout; we handle the carrier.
Why is Expedited Delivery not available for some items?
Expedited Delivery requires items to meet specific fulfillment requirements. If any item in your cart doesn't qualify, Expedited Delivery is automatically removed from your checkout options. Items that restrict Expedited Delivery are labeled on their product pages.
Do you ship textbooks internationally?
Not at this time. We ship to all 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and U.S. military APO/FPO addresses. International students attending U.S. universities can ship to their campus address.
Will I get a tracking number for my textbook order?
Yes. Every order ships with tracking. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your package leaves our fulfillment center.
What if my textbook arrives damaged?
If your book is damaged in transit, start a return within 7 days of delivery. Select "damaged in shipping" as the reason, attach a photo, and we will process a full refund. You do not need to return books damaged by carrier mishandling.
